We all know that Europe is not enjoying the fruits of an economic recovery after the 2008 crash the way the United States is, because the crash never really ended. We also know that Europe has some very rough religious and race relations. Europe has had situations like this in the past. They never end well.
It's worth noting that far-right-wing political parties are rising in the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. In Germany, PEGIDA, a white, Euro, anti-Islamic group held a rally in Dresden on Sunday and attracted 25,000 people. In France, Marie Le Pen's National Front is now the third largest party in France, and some are calling this period after the Paris attack "her moment." Then there's UKIP, who is slated to get the same coverage as the currently ruling Tories from BBC, because they are poised for gains in this May's parliamentary elections.
Europe worries me. The economic conditions brought on by the crash and subsequent austerity are crippling Europe. Then you have the revolving door with people coming in and out of Syria and back to Europe, completely radicalized and militarily trained there. Then just to top things off, you have right-wing radical parties rising in Europe. Not a good combo.
