Rand Paul's excuse for Congressional Republicans setting up a man-made-crisis for Social Security Disability:
No. Don't join the club. I'm not sure what club Mr. Paul is talking about. In his reality, there is massive fraud in the Social Security program. In actual reality, there's not.
Paul made headlines for his paper-thin, generalized headlines Wednesday while speaking in New Hampshire. Essentially, he claimed a large number of people, approximately half on disability, are simply scamming the system. He stated when answering questions in Manchester from Republican legislators:“Everybody in this room knows somebody who is gaming the system. What I tell people is if you look like me and you hop out of your truck, you shouldn’t be getting a disability check. Either half the people on disability are either anxious or their back hurts. Join the club, you know?”
No. Don't join the club. I'm not sure what club Mr. Paul is talking about. In his reality, there is massive fraud in the Social Security program. In actual reality, there's not.
