The Weekly Wrap Up

Posted on 6:00 AM by whitehate
It was a big week, here's my favorites from the week that was:

  • Picture of the Day- 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/7, 1/8, 1/9, and 1/10.
  • Song of the Day- 1/4 John Lennon, 1/5 Nas, 1/6 Stevie Wonder, 1/7 Smashing Pumpkins, 1/8 ODB, 1/9 The Rolling Stones, and 1/10 Meek Mill.
  • Ten weeks into the season, the Sixers were rotten. Things went on this week though. They should release Kirilenko, too.
  • Should Chip Kelly have absolute power over the Eagles?
  • The GOP clown show got under way.
  • I give some more love towards Pope Francis.
  • My personal feelings on atheism, science, and faith.
  • Commissioner Bratton stands up for the NYPD's good guys.
  • Congress should take their time, get it right, and end "teaching to the test" in re-writing No Child Left Behind.
  • An overview of Northampton County's elections. Some local candidates are announcing their plans.
  • My NFL Playoff round-up.
  • Thought of the week- Damn, young folks got it hard.
  • After signing Harang, what the Phillies do next.
  • Democrats should have voted for Louie Gohmert to be Speaker, and given people what they voted for (crazy).
  • I questioned Chris Christie's ethics in going to Dallas on other people's tabs. Apparently the Feds had some questions about Christie's ethics too.
  • Meet the 114th Congress. They killed off the CBO already. Even so, congratulations to my friends on the Hill.
  • This would have been my Hall-of-Fame Ballot. Congratulations to former Phillies pitcher Pedro Martinez on his elections.
  • Some Republicans that Democrats can target in 2016.
  • There's no sense destroying the planet for Keystone XL. Congressman Connolly nails it.
  • Democracy.
  • My initial thoughts on the Paris shootings.
  • Republican priorities are on display in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire.
  • Go for it Mitt.
  • The terrible new Senate Majority.
  • I guess he's not a "public" servant?
  • I have zero sympathy for Speaker Boehner.
  • Kennedy from MTV in the 90s misused the words "slut shaming" on Fox News.
  • Being successful hasn't helped the President.
  • Boehner's House tells the disabled to go to hell. All this to kill Social Security.
  • The holiday season came to an end this week for my family.
  • The Eagle Nebula.
  • Kathleen Kane's time as AG in PA is coming to it's ending.
  • It's sad to see the legendary Senator Boxer go, but it does open some doors.
  • Erick Erickson is an idiot.

  • Why I don't go to PA Society.
  • Congresswoman Lummis' personal tragedy aside, don't confuse "Obamacare" and insurance company failures as the same.
  • Things I said about Senator Obama in 2007, and the reality about President Obama in 2014.
  • Chris Christie is the worst human being in the world.
  • A disgusting loss for the Eagles, last week edition.
  • The NFL Playoff picture through week 15.
  • Through seven weeks, the Sixers are really bad.
  • Congratulations Kobe Bryant.
  • My current Presidential preference list.

  • Grand Juries are useless.
  • There's no good reason to Draft Warren right now.

  • The Bush and Clinton families are not the same.
  • President Obama protects Bristol Bay.
  • What Republicans used to think of Putin.
  • Senate Freshman Republicans vow to starve the poor.
  • This year's family Christmas tree.
  • Two years after Newtown, is there hope?
  • I asked if we've seen the end of the President's long-term achievements, then he did something major. Go figure.
  • Tom Coburn, the immoral face of fiscal conservative failure.
  • Meet the Congressman from Citigroup, Kevin Yoder, R-Kansas.
  • Elizabeth Warren doesn't get all the details right, sometimes.
  • I'm proud of Australia for the #IllRideWithYou campaign after the "Sydney Siege."
  • So President Obama is normalizing relations with Cuba. Here's the details. The critics of this policy are just wrong.
  • My 1,500th Post.
  • Tom Wolf's mixed position on fracking is an upgrade.
  • Elizabeth Warren zeroes in on the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
  • While Northampton County Republicans would love to see Democrats primary Controller Steve Barron, Democrats should not.
  • Charlie Dent vows to vote for the failed Cuban embargo. What's the definition of insanity again?

The Week In Review

Posted on 10:00 AM by whitehate
Here's the best of the week that was:

  • My snap opinion of the NCAA Football Playoff decisions. My reactions and predictions. The full bowl picture.
  • I really liked my first visit to the PPL Center in Allentown.
  • A civics lesson for Seth Vaughn and the Northampton County GOP.
  • Ben Carson thinks he's in Nazi Germany. What an imbecile.
  • The other side of the policing issue. It's a tough job.
  • The perspective you start from matters to your views on issues.
  • A day that will live in infamy.
  • For the Eagles, when does reality set in, or does it not matter?
  • Week six might have been the best we get from the Sixers this season.
  • My full Winter Meetings outlook. I, uh, didn't predict a Rollins trade....
  • President Obama really gets a bad wrap.
  • North Dakota has a good idea.
  • No, Chris Christie and his team are not clear of Bridgegate.
  • Mayor de Blasio clowns Giuliani on race relations.
  • The Tories whining about BBC is a good sign they're going to lose in May.
  • Congressman Rush Holt's farewell address.
  • Thank You Jimmy Rollins.
  • What's next for the Phillies.
  • Elizabeth Warren is being petty, and I disagree with Warren on the Weiss nomination.
  • Once again, John Boehner sucks at his job.
  • Congressional Democrats and the White House who backed the spending bill were dumb.

  • My last Senate predictions. I got seven of the eight GOP pick-ups right.
  • I made a case for the Democrats, one they didn't make.
  • There are no moderate Republicans.
  • My ballot.

  • One week in, the Sixers stink.
  • Go vote.
  • Thank you for the best year of my professional life.
  • The midterm elections tell us nothing about the 2016 elections.
  • One-Term Tommy Corbett is now America's worst EX-Governor.
  • Otherwise, Pennsylvania sucked on election night.
