Yesterday was January 7th, the 7th day of 2015, and a basically "common" day otherwise. It was the end of the holidays in the Wilkins' home though, and in most homes in the world that hadn't ended the holidays yet too. Yesterday was the Russian Orthodox Easter. Yesterday was also my mother's birthday, with follows my father's on New Year's Day. After this, I don't consider there to be a true holiday again until St. Patrick's Day (oh, how I can't wait....).
The 2014-2015 holiday season was really wonderful. I saw a lot of people, but I mostly relaxed. I feel increasingly re-energized, and ready to go at 2015 and 2016 with renewed vigor. While that was always the plan, it feels pretty good anyway.
Now we're in the New Year. Let's hope it goes as well as the last one.
