As April came, one job ended and the next one began. A temporary move to Iowa was in the works for a Congressional primary. Along the way would be the first Phillies games of the year, tax day, a stop in Chicago, and finally some nice weather. April marked the end of a long Winter. It also brought back some nostalgia, complete with a trip to the Iowa Cubs game.
- Nate Silver predicted the GOP's victories in November- sort of. He got that they'd win the Senate, not how many they'd win though. It takes less math to predict that.
- DeSean Jackson was cut by the Eagles, after they alleged he was a locker room cancer, gang member, and all around bad guy. He went to the Redskins and ultimately burned the Birds.
- DC Mayor Vincent Gray was bounced in the Democratic Primary.
- NYC Mayor de Blasio was boo'ed at the Mets opener.
- UCONN won the NCAA Basketball tournament.
- The Angels offered, and Mike Trout ultimately accepted, a $144 million contract.
- HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius was pushed out after a successful enrollment period for the ACA.
- Cliven Bundy decided to bring armed militia-men to his Nevada ranch to keep the government from seizing his livestock. Unfortunately the government didn't take his livestock anyway. This deadbeat still owes millions in fines.
- Nirvana entered the Rock-and-Roll Hall-of-Fame.
- Martin Brodeur played his last game for the Devils.
- Glenn Greenwald, professional troublemaker, wins a Pulitzer.
- Donald Sterling went on a racist rant and lost his basketball team over it.
- Staten Island Congressman Michael Grimm was indicted.
- Georgia passed a law letting people basically take guns anywhere.
