Truth:
Good riddance.
Now that the mid-term is over, I'll go ahead and say it- the Democrats are one sad sack of wimps down in Washington. Almost 2/3 of America thinks the country is on the "wrong track," despite the numbers above, and Democrats reinforced that belief. They ran away from the President like he had the plague, virtually admitting he was an awful President. The problem? The stats don't back that up. Democrats never told you that story though. They never stood up and talked about rising job opportunities, or rising wages. They never talked about lowering gas prices. They never talked about how those lowering gas prices weakened Putin, the guy Republicans were holding up as "embarrassing our President." None of that came from Democrats. They stood there and took a beating, trying to run from a President they were married to anyway.David Letterman’s monologue last night included some observations that stood out for me:“This is what happens when we have the midterm elections. The Republicans, of course, have turned against Obama, and the Democrats have also turned against Obama. That’s a lonely, lonely gig being president, ladies and gentlemen.“Take a look at this: gas under $3 a gallon – under $3 a gallon. Unemployment under 6%, whoever thought? Stock market breaking records every day. No wonder the guy is so unpopular.”As the saying goes, it’s funny because it’s true.
Good riddance.
